ubiquitous smed sessions
when i was in eretz yisroel for the summer, i notices small pockets of smedkeit in the holy land. it bothered me to think that the smeds have already begun to infiltrate EY. yet it seems that as i was gone the smeds have been doing some heavy recruiting. it seems that everywhere i go people are talking about whether or not corn is an appropriate shawarma addition. i hear they are opening a shawarma stand in the new city field (the mets new stadium for all non-smeds) it is going to be called...you guessed it The Smed Grill. we should be zoche during these aseres yemai teshuva to rid ourselves of all bad things. vehameivin yavin!

I totally hear the point. I spend some time in a certain yeshiva for Yom Kippur that used to be known as religous. This year, B"H, it seemed decently orthodox, but last year, the chevrah listened to such goyisheh, inappropriate music in the dorms. We should be zoche to have a pure home for all Jews. As Reb Shlomo used to say, "it gevalt if the food is kosher, but what's also important is whether the air is kosher. Sometimes it all seems halachik, but the air is mamesh traif."
