Smed-Free Oasis???????

i was in a certain town this passed shabbos (i can not say where, as it would give away the specific small to mid-sized liberal arts university/Yeshiva that i went with). but anyway, in an unsuprising turn of events, the torah that the group brought was pasul. bit a major yasher koach to the natives of the community who lent us theirs.
i may have found a place for our smed-free utopian society
...either that or south africa

Brooklyn Smeds?

While one would think that a place like Brooklyn would be full of smeds, after spending a day there, it's super clear that there aren't that many smeds there. The people were very nice, sweet, and not at all angry.
Once again it's a certain yeshiva in the heights that seems to be the real home.

CHECK OUT OUR NEW POLL!!!

In our never-ending struggle to weed out the smeds from our midst, i started a new poll that promises to give us some much needed market research about the ever-growing smed population. please answer honestly, nobody ever got anything from fibbing...well that's not exactly true, but please tell the truth anyway

Update!!

For Yom Kippur, I went to a certain yeshiva sometimes referred to by the purest and worst smeds as "the vim." While the shanah bet seems to have been effected by the smeds, shanah alef may have a chance, but who knows? They've only been there for about a month. It's almost ancient history that they once were a place of sweetness and holiness. Now it's so powerful, it almost reminds me of http://www.yu.edu/index.asp?M.
[I was in Montreal for Simchas Torah - while I don't think that they are in on the revolution, it's definitely not New York].
Please let me know how your Sukkos was - I would call you, but there's something I like about asking you here and maybe not hearing back for a while.

ubiquitous smed sessions

when i was in eretz yisroel for the summer, i notices small pockets of smedkeit in the holy land. it bothered me to think that the smeds have already begun to infiltrate EY. yet it seems that as i was gone the smeds have been doing some heavy recruiting. it seems that everywhere i go people are talking about whether or not corn is an appropriate shawarma addition. i hear they are opening a shawarma stand in the new city field (the mets new stadium for all non-smeds) it is going to be called...you guessed it The Smed Grill. we should be zoche during these aseres yemai teshuva to rid ourselves of all bad things. vehameivin yavin!

Back to America, the home of the smed. It's interesting here. I haven't really left my house so much, so I haven't really been impacted yet, but I'm a bit nervous. Thank G-d I hate sports. And I'm going to Montreal on Friday, so I only have to survive for two days, and then I'll be fine. Hope you're not completely smeded out already. Be strong.

Welcome to The Smed

All of our readers (you know who you are) might be wondering what a smed is. it is a very good question. you ever meet that guy who has all the trimmings of a "Frum" person (that is frum with the litvish pronunciation, not to be confused with the regular frum with the ashkenazic pronunciation, which means religious)? this person usually comes from new york or LA. that is all i can really reveal right now. i am not sure about the goal of this blog. but i am pretty sure it will be a good one. if you don't believe me, consider this, my cousin is MoChassid!!
