it has come to my attention that The Smed has gotten its first post. not that Webcam is the first person to read our blog, that is obviously not true. no no, this shows that the countless anti-smedites out there who come to smedhouse for some solace and guidance are finally stepping out of their shell and letting the wprld know there feelings about the shwarma-eating (with salad of course...lots of israeli salad) baseball loving public that is the smeds.

Have the Smed's Won?

The Seforim sale is one of those places where one can really get a feel for the state of the American Jewish community. I think that the types of books people buy say a lot about them. Years ago, I heard that there were almost no Even HaEzel's sold at the seforim sale (R' Isser Zalman Melzer's book on the Rambam) and about 20 Mai HaShiloachs. I was wondering if any of our hundreds of readers know anything about this years sale. Are we still doing well?
